Starting off let’s just say it. The Bills destroyed us on Thursday night football 😳
2 interceptions from bad receiver play, One 4th down conversion attempt that set up the Bills in plus yardage, and a pick 6 from Tua throwing out of bounds that didn’t make it passed Christian Benford’s numbers on his jersey. The play calling was abysmal.

McDaniel really needs to figure out what he is doing because if teams like the Lions, with far less talent, can play high caliber football then I don’t know what is going on here in Miami…
Tua was concussed for the 3rd time. Second concussion where he displayed fencing (neurological symptoms that affect the physical muscles tightening)… he might not be back for a long while, if ever 😔
All that said, I’d like to explore the potential for this team moving forward!

I do not feel that 2024 is in the cards for the Fins. Too much time with Skylar Thompson will be the kiss of death. He isn’t capable of running this offense. Which is part of the problem with this offense and its personnel decisions. Now, is it possible that McDaniel changes his play calling to better suit Skylar? Sure! Though I have found no indication that McDaniel can make this level of adjustment 😢
So here is where I’m at. The first thing that needs to happen for the Dolphins to have a short term reset is fire Chris Grier. He has failed and it’s too evident to pass up. This is a tough sport. It’s won in the trenches. Grier has failed at building a decent offensive line for years! He has also lost opportunities to sign key players like Christian Wilkins for years. I see that his vision was to build the avengers as far as weapons. But he forgot to add in the trenches completely.

A bright spot! Our core players and young promise are very appealing! De’Von Achane is an absolute stud! Jaylen Wright, Jaylen Waddle, Patrick Paul, Austin Jackson, are young offensive players that are only improving at high levels! Phillips, Holland, Chop, Long, Seiler, are all defensive players doing the same.
Who needs to go? In a complete reset you must trim the fat. It’s too bad that in this season and before we’ve done it, we might be looking at a down year. This might take time. The whole interior line needs to be replaced. Brewer can stay but could be replaced. The Tight end group needs to be utilized! This was the major failing on Thursday but we should be looking to upgrade. Jeff Wilson jr and Raheem Mostert will sadly need to go. Hill might be tradable for decent compensation, although this would hurt immensely. Nothing worse than knowing we need to draft a young quarterback to replace Tua 😢
I hate to see Tua going through concussion issues. I’m not even telling him to retire! The fact is we cannot keep a guy with this history behind this bad of an offensive line. Simply, this team isn’t ready for him… We need to target a Quarterback like Quin Ewers or Cam Ward and hope for quick development inside the 2028 window. If not, and they choose to move off of everyone surrounding him than so be it. Nothing new to us fins fans 🐬

If so, the defense will need to be gutted. Really it’s possible this whole thing is a gut job if Tua is done and they can’t improve the line.
Sad days for Fins fans but cheer up guys. We are just the right coaches, GM and moves away from being right back in it! Let’s see how they respond to this “adversity”… 👀
